HOW WE CREATE THE WORLD’S
MOST VERSATILE AND
SUSTAINABLE FLOOR COVERING

The sun and the rain make the flax plant grow and blossom. The flower when mature, produces linseed. For linoleum we press the seeds to retrieve vegetable oil. Linseed oil is mixed with rosin, retrieved from FSC certified tries. Linseed oil and rosin, together make linoleum cement. To this we add wood flour from Scandinavian forests and lime stone from designated quarries. Everything mixed together and with the addition of pigments colourful

linoleum granules are created.
The granules are calandered onto a base, a mesh made out of jute fibres from the jute plant that is harvested in India and Bangladesh.

This is the natural secret of linoleum, a floor covering that has been created for over 150 years, and today as vibrant and versatile as ever before.
Discover Linoleum, discover Marmoleum.
